Asantehene dissolves Kotoko Board

Kumasi, Sept. 20, GNA - Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene and Life Patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club on Tuesday dissolved the 13-member Board of Directors of the club at the end of their tenure of office.

He asked the Board to prepare and present an account of their stewardship for the past three-years to him.

The Asantehene dissolved the Board at a meeting held at Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

He announced the appointment of a two-man management team to steer affairs of the club until a new Board of Directors was constituted. They are Mr Kwame Boafo, a Kumasi-based Legal Practitioner and member of the dissolved Board and Mr Opoku Afriyie, former Team Manager of the club.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu appealed to supporters of the club to remain disciplined and support the new management until the appointment of a new Board of Directors.
