Stock index inches up

Accra, Sept. 13, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index inched up in thin trading on Tuesday with bearish sentiments overshadowing the market. The index closed higher by 0.74 points at 4,900.21 points from 4,899.47 points on Monday.

Change for the year-to-date ended at -27.92 per cent. There were three price changes, all positive.

CFAO was five cedis better at 405 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company (EIC) rose by 100 cedis at 5,300 cedis and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL) was two cedis better at 7,152 cedis. Shares that changed hands were lower at 84,100 from 114,900 shares on Monday.

Market capitalisation closed up at 92,172.75 billion cedis from 92,168.74 billion cedis on Monday from 3,93.18 million issued shares.
