We sold our lives for Ghana as soldiers - Military Capo

A senior military officer who wants to remain anonymous has revealed that any citizen who decides to join the army he sells his/her life for the country and should be prepared to either die or kill in the battlefield.

“We are not demoralized by the death of Captain Maxwell Adams Mahama and we do not see that to be a challenge at all but the circumstance under which some of the deaths occur is what bothers us. This is a senior officer who was humiliated and gruesomely murdered by the people he sacrificed his life for”

He disclosed that the late Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama died with the spirit of the military on Monday May 29, 2017 in the very hands of the people he was seeking to protect.

“How can an assembly man who is supposed to organize residents for communal labour and other development activities , mobilize residents to kill a gallant soldier who has sacrificed his life for the country”, he asked.

“After giving him 21-gun salute it ends there. No one will mind his family again because that has been the practice in the military over the period. Kwame Adinkra the very day I joined soldier was the day I took a vow to protect lives and property by selling my life for Ghana”, he disclosed.

He wondered what would have happened if the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area was the one who had suffered same fate like Captain Maxwell Adams Mahama who has a family and relations.

“It would have been an honour to die in the battlefield outside the country where the flag of the country is raised on you as a hero. But to die on your own soil through lynching by the very people you are seeking protect is very annoying”, he added.

The livid military capo told Kwame Adinkra on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm that the only best tribute the president can give to the departed soldier is to apprehend the suspects who orchestrated his death and drastically deal with them to serve as a deterrent to others.

“They should be given a well-deserving punishment because the lawmakers are the same lawbreakers. An assembly member who can mobilize people to kill someone is not an honorable member but a murderer”, he disclosed.
