A potentially disastrous situation was narrowly avoided on the afternoon of July 21, when a heavily loaded truck experienced brake failure while climbing a hill at the Odumasi Zongo Junction in the Greater Accra Region.

The driver skillfully maneuvered the vehicle to bring it to a stop, preventing a collision, as reported in a post by Sikaofficial on X on July 21, 2025.

"A heavily loaded truck that encountered a brake failure while climbing a hill, dangerously maneuvered to a halt in the afternoon at Odumasi Zongo Junction," the post stated.

"Fortunately, oncoming vehicles noticed the incident early and managed to steer clear of the way of the truck," the post further stated.

The incident caused a moment of panic for those in the vicinity, but other motorists traveling on the road reacted quickly by taking swift action to clear the path for the truck to avert any disaster.
