Letter From The President: Reforming the reforms

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents,

from September I expect great changes to the educational system in Sikaman; changes, which I have been made to think, should make our citizens great thinkers and problem solvers. We call these changes, the “new educational reforms”. You know why they are “new”? It’s because we’ve been through it all before.

In 1997, Jerry Boom and his PNDC introduced what they called the educational reform programme, which saw the gradual phasing out of the O/A Level programmes and the introduction of the JSS/SSS concept.
