Oboman Association Of NY Annual Dinner/Dance

The Oboman Association of New York was in the news recently when they hosted Nana Yeboah Afari Obuagyan 11, Obohene and Nifahene of Kwahu Traditional Area in New York. Nana Yeboah Afari Obuagyan 11 who was on a private visit met Obo Citizens and Friends of Obo Kwahu to discuss developmental issues at home per town hall meeting.

The Oboman Association of New York on October 14th, 2006 had its third annual dinner and dance at the exclusive Coral House in Long Island, New York. Some of the members were presented with awards for their dedication.

Among the award reciepients included; its influential Chairman; Nana Nyarko aka Mr. Thomas "Taller" Nyarko also the Obomanhene of New York and CEO of Black Star Travel and Tours. Nana Nyarko surprisingly was presented with an award. He was commended for his enormous support throughout the existence of the organization and also making a difference in the Ghanaian community. Receiving the award, Nana Nyarko thanked the members for the great recognition and promised to continue working hard together with all members to take the organization to another level and also help making a difference in the development of Obo Kwahu, Ghana.
