DCE installed Nkosuohemaa

Ejura (Ash), Nov.8, GNA - Madam Elizabeth Owusu, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ejura/Sekyedumase, was on Friday installed as the Nkosuohemaa of Ejura.

It was in appreciation of her contribution towards the development of Ejura and the district. The DCE's stool name is Nana Asare Birago. Nana Kwaku Sarfo 11, the Ejurahene, performed the installation ceremony, which coincide with the annual Yam Festival celebration by the people of Ejura.

He said the Ejura Traditional Council was proud of Madam Owusu for distinguishing herself during her 31 years service as a midwife at Ejura and almost four years as a DCE.

Nana Sarfo said "others for some reason may overlook your achievement, but we the traditional rulers would forever cherish memories of your development will" and advised Madam Owusu to work harder to achieve greater heights.

She thanked the people and chiefs for acknowledging her contribution to the development of the area and appealed to the people to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government whose policy she implemented to bring development to the district.
