VGMA 2018: KPMG will never compromise their integrity by taking bribe – CharterHouse

KPMG KPMG

Head of Communication at CharterHouse, George Quaye has said no Ghanaian artiste can bribe KPMG – an audit, tax and advisory firm to influence the voting pattern of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Quaye believes that the integrity of KPMG cannot be compromised because of the years they have been in existence as a credible firm known world-wide.

He told Andy Dosty, “There’s nothing else I can say to make you believe that the VGMA results are credible and not tempered with. If you believe that an International organization with international repute like KPMG will compromise their integrity because of a musician or because of CharterHouse who does nothing or contribute nothing to their business or growth. Why will KPMG want to do so and how much money can you offer KPMG to do such a thing and what do they need that money for just to compromise their integrity in such a terrible way for one musician or for CharterHouse.”

Quaye added that “if you don’t trust CharterHouse fair enough but to the extent of making a reputable organization like KPMG to turn a vote to ones side is unfortunate.”

According to him, the doubting KPMG is human nature and it is allowed.

Many music stakeholders are uncertain about the votes collated and certified by KPMG, a partner of the award scheme.

The winners of various categories were determined based on votes by the Board, Academy, and the public.
