Checks by GhanaWeb Business confirm that the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Ghana is in discussions with the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to resolve the suspension of its foreign exchange trading license.
Sources within the bank, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said management is engaging the central bank to address the issue “swiftly and transparently.”
GhanaWeb Business understands that the action by the central bank was triggered by the activities of third-party money transfer agents operating on the bank’s platform, which led to the suspension.
