Seven-Man IMC To Run Kotoko

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu is expected to usher into office on Tuesday, a seven man Interim Management committee to run the affairs of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. This follows the dissolution of both the Board of Directors of the club and the Herbert Mensah led management of Asante Kotoko last Saturday.

The two bodies have officially complained to Otumfuo, the Life Patron of Kotoko that they are incompatible with each other. The Life Patron is now going to appoint an interim committee to run the affairs of the club.

Though no names have officially been thrown at the media, a seven member list JOYonline is privy to indicate that two members from both the dissolved parties would join the IMC.

The two are Messers Kwabena Kesse and George Amoako. The move to include Kesse, a member of the board and Amoako, a member of the management is to ensure continuity and a smooth transition stage.

Other members on the seven man IMC?s list, Yaw Boafo, a lawyer and son of the Ashanti Regional Minister, S.K Boafo, Alhaji Tanko the representative of the Kotoko zongo community Kwasi Nyantakyi, the Chairman of the Circles group, the club?s support base and Nana Yaw Owusu an old player of the club.

Until any major changes are initiated by the Otumfuo, these are the men who would stir the affairs of Asante Kotoko in the coming weeks.
