Accra Polytechnic Student Dies In Strange Circumstances

Accra,(Greater Accra) 4 Nov. A 28-year-old student of Accra Polytechnic was yesterday found dead on Liberia Road, between TUC Hall and Starlite shopping centre. A source at the school said there is no rpt no information on the circumstances of Mr Philip Yeboah's death. The source said Mr Yeboah, a first year HND accountancy student, was seen in his room on campus on Sunday night by his room mates. Early on Monday morning at about 0300 hours, one of them realized that he was not on his bed. At about 0600 hours, a woman who sells in the school but lives close to where Mr Yeboah allegedly died, went to report the death. The woman said she heard some noise from across the street where she lives, and when she went out to see what was happening she the body of Yeboah in pool of blood. She immediately reported the death to the students of the polytechnic. The students in turn notified the police, who came to examine the body and found a lot of bruises on his chest. Blood was also oozing from his mouth. The police has confirmed the death, but could not tell the cause in the absence of a postmortem. The body has since been deposited at the Police hospital mortuary.
