Hasaacas sure of victory on Sunday

Accra, Aug 19, GNA-Mr. Richard Quarshie Accra Representative of Sekondi Hasaacas, has said they will beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Sekondi Gyandu Park to pick the three maximum points at stake. "Our aim is to take part in the Top Four Competition next year, so we have to collect the three points at stake to improve our standing on the league table to enable us make our maiden appearance in the competition" Mr. Quarshie stated in an interview with the GNA Sports.

He said Hasaacas are going all out in the second round of the league hence no team will have it easy when they meet them, especially at the Gyandu park, their base.

The Accra Representative said his boys were a bit jittery during the early stages of their game against Kotoko last Sunday and discovered themselves rather late hence their failure pick at least a point in that game.

Mr. Quarshie said with their performance, especially in the later stages of their last game, he is confident that in the 16th week league match, they would realise their dream of being the second club to beat Kotoko.

He said they have learnt from their mistakes in the first round adding that two of their key players who missed the Kumasi match will be around for the Sekondi match on Sunday.

Mr. Quarshie was however not impressed with the performance of the referee who handled their match against Kotoko last Sunday at the Kumasi Sports Stadium since he turned a blind eye to infringements in favour of Hasaacas.

Hasaacas who are currently placed ninth on the league table will host Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the top liner of the 16th week Kinapharmna Premier League on Sunday at Sekondi Gyandu Park.
