Some 120 people offered free medical care

Judy Vollert Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Accra, on Sunday gave free medical care to 120 people from Kyirakomfo and Acquahkrom in the Cape Coast Municipality.

Diseases treated included malaria, coughing and bodily pains.

The NGO's gesture was in response to an appeal made by Ms Christine Churcher, Member of Parliament for Cape Coast Constituency.

Dr Jeeseine Asamoah, Leader of the Medical Team, advised the people to keep their surroundings clean to promote good health and to avoid self-medication.

The communities expressed gratitude to Ms Churcher and the NGO for the gesture and called for more such services to other communities.
