Shatta Wale finally speaks after not being nominated for BET awards

Self acclaimed Dancehall king, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale in showbiz, has finally made a statement regarding Ghanaian artistes’ inability to earn nominations in this year’s BET awards.

The controversial artiste took to his Twitter account to write;

”International Nominations come ooo and our Ghanaian international artiste are not there ooooo ..I beg let me concentrate on my Local awards and go collect all in Jesus name …2knowww life go kill Ghana artiste ..mcheeeeewww???? “

Apparently, he is unphased about the development. He took a subtle jab at other Ghanaian artistes for not also earning a nomination.

According to him, he is focusing on his “local awards ” – the upcoming VGMA, he hopes to win the awards for all the categories he was nominated.

Some fans are of the opinion that his nonchalance is very pretentious as the artiste has been looking forward to the nomination in other to rub shoulders with his rival, Stonebwoy.

It would be recalled that Shatta Wale, last year, tweeted excitedly that he had received an email from BET about a nomination. He appeared very optimistic about a possible nomination, so, his sudden nonchalant attitude is very suspicious.

The BET awards is scheduled to come off next month in Los Angeles, California, US. African Artistes nominated include Teni, Mr. Eazi and Burnaboy.
