GJA announces new award

Accra, Jan. 9, GNA - The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Monday announced an additional award for the 2005 GJA Awards - Best Planned and Designed Newspaper. A statement signed by Bright Blewu, GJA Secretary, said it was inadvertently left out in the last week's announcement of the various awards. It said the award, which was suspended in the 1980s because there were few newspapers in circulation, had been brought back to help to generate greater competition among various newspaper houses with regard to the planning and design of their papers.
