Power FC donates to Asogli Traditional Council

Ho, V/R, Aug. 27, GNA 96 The management of Power FC on Sunday donated assorted drinks and five million cedis to the Asogli Traditional Council. The cash donation is the team's contribution to support the Asogli Area Education Endowment Fund.

Mr Emmanuel Adotey, Chairman of Power FC who made the donation at Ho, said the team's gesture is to formally announce to the chiefs and people of the Asogli Traditional Area of the Club's decision to choose and use Ho, the Volta regional capital as their home base for their matches. He said the Club decided to settle on Ho because 93We know that we will have the love, support and encouragement of the people of the region to raise our morale=94. Mr Adotey said with the maximum support and goodwill from the peopleof the region, the Club will win all their matches that they host at th Ho sports stadium. He therefore pledged the Club's readiness to respect and support the traditional authorities to enhance their performance and ensure their mutal development.

Mr Abudulai Damba, assistant coach of Power FC on behalf of the playing body pledged their willingness to sacrifice for the success of the Club and to accord the needed respect to the traditional authorities. Togbe Aklamanu IV, Chief of Akoefe Avenui, who received the donation on behalf traditional council thanked the Club for choosing Ho as their home base. Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of the Asogli Traditional Council thanked the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Power FC for calling on the chiefs of the traditional council and formally welcomed to the town. He also commended the Club on their decision to choose Ho as their home base and promised the full support of the council for the success of the club.

Togbe Afede advised the players not to focus only on monetary gains but to train hard to enable them place in a respectful position on the Premier League to raise the image of the club. He said he was hopeful that apart from the interest that the youth of the area would enjoy from the matches at the Ho stadium, it will also go a long way of improving both social and economic activities of the people of the region. Togbe Afede prayed that the team will do everything possible to bring honour to the Club and the Asogli State.
