Behind the Scenes Manipulation of the NPP Presidential Race

CASTLE, SECURITY FUNDING AKUFO ADDO, ALAN
…Mustapha Idris is National Security Choice for Running-Mate
…Dossier on Cocaine and Contracts to shoot down opponents

The Steve Ntim episode is being replayed by those who funded and prosecuted that project and got their fingers burnt badly in that Castle agenda to impose him on the NPP as chairman. Once again, the Castle and its Security wing (Castle Annex) are being used as a decoy to smuggle a presidential candidate into the NPP saddle come December this year or early January 2008.

New Democrat intelligence sources in the Castle said National Security Minister, Francis Poku, is the man tasked with supervising this dubious project. He is said not to be alone in the grand agenda to manipulate the NPP Congress to elect the presidential candidate for the party. Francis Poku, we are informed by the sources has set up a solid supervisory and monitoring team which reports to him on weekly basis on the goings-on in the camps of the potential presidential aspirants likely to torpedo the agenda of seeing either Alan Kyeremanten or Nana Akufo Addo elected flagbearer of the NPP.

Signals picked by New Democrat intelligence sources hinted of revelations made by Mustapha Hamid’s close associates, during their University of Cape Coast days as the active involvement of National Security Minister in secretly manipulating the NPP presidential contest. According to the sources close to Hamid, who is the spokesperson for Friends of Nana Akufo Addo (FONA), Mustapha Hamid was personally recruited and imposed on the FONA by the Security Capo as the group’s spokesperson.

The sources disclosed the onerous duty imposed on Hamid to write reports on their activities and to brief Francis Poku on weekly basis on the goings-on in the FONA. His associates stated that after the briefings, he is given specific instructions on possible flash points in the campaign which needs to be tightened.

Unknown to FONA, the National Security Minister has also being providing the same level of service to Alan Kyeremanten on the quiet to annex the NPP presidential slot. While some hard core NPP foot-soldiers have been reportedly mobilised by National Security to prepare the ground for Alan, billions of tax-payers money have been set aside to energise them to deliver. Opinion polls being released in the media are said to be part of the agenda to get either Alan or Nana Akufo Addo elected. It is said to be informed by the need by those behind the plan not to lose out like happened in the Steve Ntim saga.

In order to appease the Northern caucus not to feel betrayed by the United States Republican party rejection of Aliu Mahama, our intelligence sources hinted of moves spearheaded by Francis Poku to smuggle Alhaji Mustapha Idris, the current Northern Regional Minister into the number two slot if any of the two aspirants of choice is elected.

Our intelligence sources have also furnished us with the names of some national security funded newspapers and those with heavy leanings to the NPP earmarked to promote the Alan or the Akufo Addo bid. President J.A. Kufuor’s brothers are not enthused by this mischievous game plan. They are alleged to be fully aware of the deliberate plans by a handful of greedy ingrates, who rose to prominence through their brother to hijack the NPP for their own edification and monetary interests.

A group of sympathisers with unalloyed loyalty to the President’s brothers has signalled the behind-the-scenes preparation of throat-choking dossiers on some of the presidential aspirants likely to stand in the way of Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor in his blinding political ambition to succeed his brother as the NPP presidential candidate. As part of the group’s game plan, newspapers and radio stations with Addo Kufuor sympathy have been targeted for the exposure of stinking scandals which if not properly handled by the NPP PR machine could bring down the party and lead to its disintegration.

Some of the stories allegedly to be released for public consumption include the serious allegation of the busting of a high profile Minister in the NPP administration for cocaine at the JFK Airport in the United States. New Democrat intelligence sources who have been briefed by the group alleged that the substance found on the Minister weighed about five grams. This NPP Minister used his diplomatic immunity cover to avoid arrest and detention. Besides, the American immigration and FBI officials did not take any action because the NPP minister claimed that the stuff, comparatively small was meant for his personal use. There is also the story of the real faces behind the award of certain multi-million dollar contracts, including the Unimax Macmillan.

Indications point to bloody contest in the NPP as the days draw nearer to their Congress and with a group of insurgents, controlled and manipulated by National Security Minister and his allies in the presidency determined to direct the outcome of the NPP Congress.

Stay tuned.
