Security and staff at the Presidency were surprised when a former President and founder of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) paid a surprise visit to the flagstaff house.

The former President who stormed the Presidency around 9am on Thursday morning was in high spirits as the surprised security detail ushered him in.

The details of the discussion was not immediately known, however it is true that he conferred with both President John Dramani Mahama and his Vice Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur.

My sources at the Presidency indicate that, former President Rawlings was at the flagstaff house to inspire moral ahead of the 2016 general elections.

"I am not aware of the full details but the founder was seen sharing jokes and beaming with smiles as he interacted with his President and the Vice," the source said.

It is also believed that the founder also hinted on playing a major role for the retention of the NDC in the upcoming November 7th elections.

"We were very excited to see our father pay a surprise visit at the Presidency, its an indication of his preparedness towards the good of the Presidency and the NDC," the source stated.
