Rain mars BA, Bofoakwa match

Sunyani (B/A) Oct 27 - GNA - A friendly football match between Sunyani-based premier clubs, B.A. United and Tano Bofoakwa at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday was abandoned after 39 minutes due to a heavy down-pour.

There were no scores at the time when central referee J.H. Quarshie halted proceedings as the torrential rain made play very difficult. Before the rains set in, the two sides had proved to the spectators that they were determined to sell an entertaining brand of soccer as they kept their spectators yelling in appreciation of the high standard of play.

B.A. United has in recent times won all encounters against their city rivals, but in yesterday's encounter, Bofoakwa exhibited signs of turning the tables during the few minutes that the match lasted.
