President Mahama's appointment is for propaganda purpose

President Mahama's appointment of a konkomba now is a sham and is not a true recognition of 'kukpakpang' in his government but is meant for propaganda purposes in 2016 electioneering campaign. It is a known fact that Mahama's government is anti' 'kukpakpang'. That is president Mahama's unprecedented reshuffle of regional ministers in 2013 which generated public suspicion was purely against konkombas. It is important to state that no body is a political stooge or gullible and we better understand that President Mahama is playing subterfuge with the intelligence of our people. We in the konkomba fraternity as much as we are not against the appointment of our hero Hon. Kenneth Wujangi as deputy chief of staff in charge of operations, we remain skeptical about the essence now. It is also a known fact that previous governments have recognised konkombas appropriately. For example President J A Kufour appointed Hon. Charles Bintim as deputy northern regional minister and later as local government minister; John Jabaab Benam was also appointed as deputy northern regional minister. Also president J E A Mills appointed Hon. Moses Bukari Mabengba as deputy northern regional minister and later as northern regional minister; Kojo Tawiah Likpalmor as minister of state at the presidency. The above appointments were made not in election year. President Mahama's incessant sabotage of konkombas in his government is now known as he sees good materials in 'kukpakpang' only in election year.
We want to state without equivocation that this appointment is deceptive and is purported to root the lost grounds of NDC in the konkomba land, the second largest ethnic group in the northern region but we have made our minds.
We however thank the NPP for their continuous recognition of konkombas by appointing our brother Hon. Dominic Nitiwul as deputy minority leader in parliament even in opposition and we belief that when the NPP comes to power our people will be recognised duly.
