The Ghana Police Service has received 40 new armored vehicles, boosting its ability to protect the public and maintain order, a move that enhances national security.
This took place at the Ghana Police Headquarters on Thursday, December 4, when President John Dramani Mahama handed over the vehicles to the police, in the presence of some government officials and some key police personnel.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohunu, while addressing the gathering at the event, gave assurances that the vehicles would be strategically deployed and carefully maintained to accomplish their goals.
He thanked the government for its vital support, recognising the importance of modern resources in the fight against crime.

“We wish to sincerely express our profound gratitude to the government for thinking about us and prioritising our welfare. Our assurance to you is that the vehicles will be well-maintained and strategically deployed to achieve the intended objectives,” he said.

IGP Yohunu also stated that the new vehicles would greatly improve the service’s ability to respond to emergencies, secure communities, and uphold law and order.
He called on officers to use the assets responsibly and continue their mission of protecting lives and properties nationwide.
