Satellites leave for final brush up in Egypt.

The national under-20 soccer team, the Black Satellites would leave for Egypt tomorrow for a final brush up before moving to Ethiopia, 10 days before the start of the Africa Youth Cup for acclimatisation.

While in Egypt the team is expected to play two friendly matches against their Egyptian counterparts and a club side yet to be known. Speaking to GNA sports, the coach, Mr E K Afranie said he would take 20 players including seven foreign based one to the tournament and submit te names of 18 of them to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

" At the moment I have three of the foreign based players Nathaniel Lamptey, Ibrahim Rasak and Rasak Bimpong in camp and expecting Tony Obodai, Michael Essien and Derek Boateng by tomorrow" " John Mensah who is nursing a slight injury at the moment would join us in Egypt".

The Black Satellites are in Group B, with fellow West African countries, Nigeria, Mali and Burkina Faso for the competition which kicks off on March 18th. They play Nigeria on the 19th.

Meanwhile, the Black Satellites will play their final trial match on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium against Hearts of oak before leaving for Egypt. -
