The Olympic team broke their goal duck in 2007 with a 2-1 win over premiership side, Heart of Lions at the Kpando park on Thursday in a test game.

The Black Meteors on Wednesday drew goalless with another premier side, Power FC.

But on Thursday, they restored hope ahead of their return All-African Games qualifier against Ivory Coast next week in Abidjan.

Goals from the boots of Alex Asamoah and Obed Ansah put the Olympic team in a comfortable lead.

But the Lions roared and managed to pull a goal back in the game through Baba Iddi from the spot kick after the Olympic team had conceded a penalty kick.

The team?s build up continues on Friday with a game against a select side of Ghanaian foreign-based players.

On Tuesday, the Black Meteors would round up preparations when they play their last test game against Great Olympics before leaving for Abidjan the following day for the game against the Ivorians over the weekend.

Ghana go into the game against the Ivorians on the back of a 2-0 first leg win.

The winner of the two-leg tie would meet Nigeria in the last round of qualifier. The Nigerian?s drew a bye in Zone III.
