SATELLITE TRANSMISSION OF NEWS COVERAGE OF PRESIDENT CLINTON'S VISIT TO GHANA

The Embassy has received information that Fox Television has been granted approval to uplink to PanAmSat's Satellities video coverage of President Clinton's upcoming visit to Ghana. As we watch images of this important historic event on televison, we extend our appreciation to PanAmSat and Fox Television for making this possible. It is expected that broadcast will start between 12:00 midnight and 1:00 am (ET) Monday 23 March 1998.
