Man "Does It" In Trotro

An Accra community Tribunal has sentenced a certain Albert Kabu, unemployed, to 12 months imprisonment in hard labour (IHL). He was convicted for having rubbed his body on a woman who was standing in a moving bus with him to obtain erection. According to the prosecution, the accused was found wearing a condom on his erect manhood and he was standing right behind the complaint in the moving bus which was loaded with passengers from Makola to Kaneshie.

Kabu has meanwhile pleaded guilty to the offence. The Tribunal, chaired by Mr Kwodwo Owusu, therefore, found him guilty of indecently assaulting the complainant. The complainant, is a petty trader from Elubo in the Western Region of Ghana. Kabu was caught doing it in a 45-seater Tata bus that was conveying passengers from the Makola market to Kaneshie in Accra on August 8, 2002. Prosecuting, Inspector Alice Yeboah told the court that on the day in question, the complainant was traveling from the Makola market in Accra to Kaneshie where she intended to commute to the border town of Elubo in the Western Region.

According to Inspector Yeboah, the bus was heavily loaded with people and as a result, there was little space between passengers, most of whom were compelled to stand in the bus. According to the prosecution, while the bus was in motion, the complainant, a beautiful lady blessed with big backs (heavy shankus), felt a violent push off her back. The prosecution continued that initially when the complainant was pushed from behind, she thought the force was the result of the motion of the bus.

However, the pushing persisted thus prompting the complaint to check what was the cause of the violent push. The prosecutor told the court that the complainant turned round and to her surprise, she saw Albert Kabu standing right behind her with his manhood sturdily erect with a condom on the erect penis.

Inspector Alice Yeboah told the Tribunal further that the complainant quickly raised an alarm, which resulted in the arrest of the accused person. He was promptly whisked to the Central Police Station in Accra where he was detained. The prosecution continued that the accused admitted the offence and was charged accordingly with indecent assault.
