Only the greedy and ignorant succeed in politics – defeated Victoria Hamah

After her third failed attempt to become a lawmaker in the country, Victoria Lakshmi Hamah has finally come to the conclusion that only the greedy and ignorant succeed in politics in Ghana.

According to her, this, however, does not represent the ways of God for which reason she has vowed never to chart that path even if it means she does not get to be in parliament.

“In Africa, politics strives on ignorance and greed and that does not in any way represent God”, she said in a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

Cataloguing the cause of her defeat in last Saturday’s parliamentary primaries, she said “MP is a service, well, at least for me. And I vowed never to use money to robe my people of their dignity. I campaigned on a message hoping to inspire delegates to awaken in them a higher consciousness towards transformational change.

Elections in Ghana is so easy. Just make sure you are the highest bidder on Election Day and you will surely win. I couldn’t do so, despite that I am the most resourceful of the candidates; I have chosen the path of the Sanatana Dharma and I couldn’t betray it”

She revealed that despite campaigning on the truth, she was rejected by the delegates because she refused to speak the language which they understand best by doling out money to them.

“I didn’t win to represent my people of Kintampo North Constituency. Actually, I was rejected because my numbers were humiliating. Yet I feel very Victorious because I campaigned on Truth!”, she said.

The former Deputy Communications Minister came last out of three persons with only a consoling 65 votes whereas John Kwame Kumah got 532 votes with his closest contender, Richard Kwadwo Kombat, obtaining 486.
