Church of Pentecost builds mission house

Manso-Amanfi (W/R), March 14, GNA - Apostle S.K.O. Chemel, Tarkwa Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, at the weekend laid the foundation stone for a new mission house for the church at Manso Amenfi in the Wasa Menfi West District of Western Region.

He paid tribute to Pastor E.K. Appiah, the District Overseer, for his efforts towards the construction of the mission house. Nana Amoabeng Ababio II, chief of Manso-Amenfi, said the traditional council acknowledged the church as a strong ally in the spiritual and socio-economic development of the country. "The council will therefore continue to create the enabling environment for the sustenance of mutual trust, co-operation and sustainable development", he said.

Nana Ababio advised the church to spearhead the crusade against indiscipline and to inculcate in the youth good moral values that would help them to face future challenges with confidence.

The Rev E.K. Appiah, host pastor, commended Mr. Yaw Gyasi-Nimako, Director of Swiss Lumber Company, for assisting the church in diverse ways to complete the ground floor of the mission house.

Pastor M. Larbi-Wattey, Tarkwa area secretary, urged Ghanaians to continue to pray for the success of the government under President John Agyekum Kufuor and expressed the hope that people would cultivate the habit of being each other's keeper. 14 March 05
