New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Dr Bryan Acheampong, has expressed confidence in winning the party’s 2026 presidential primary, dismissing claims that he lacks popularity at the grassroots.
According to a report by adomonline.com on December 16, 2025, Dr Acheampong said propaganda narratives and psychological operations in politics would not affect his chances, as delegates have already made up their minds.
He said that he has profiled about 190,000 delegates and is aware of those who will support him and those who will not, insisting that none of the other contenders can defeat him in the contest.

“I have profiled about 190,000 delegates. I know those who will vote for me and those who will not. None of the other candidates can beat me in this election,” he stated.
Dr Bryan Acheampong added that opinion polls would not influence the choices of delegates, stressing that their decisions are already settled.
He further disclosed that his campaign is supported by a nationwide team of about 40,000 members, noting that he remains unperturbed by negative claims and fully confident of victory in the upcoming NPP presidential primary.
