A group of Nigerian youth has publicly praised President John Dramani Mahama following his address at the 80th UN General Assembly, hailing his speech as a demonstration of pan-African leadership.
In a viral video shared on X by GhanaX GH on September 30, 2025, the group likened Mahama to other visionary African leaders, such as Burkina Faso's Ibrahim Traore, who are focused on propelling the continent toward greatness.
The caption of the post stated: "A Nigerian group requests that Ghanaians allow President John Dramani Mahama to address Nigerian politicians. They rank Ghana's president as the most respected president in Africa following his United Nations General Assembly Speech.”

However, the group paired their high praise with a clear challenge, requesting that President Mahama translate his words into tangible results.
"Your speech at the UN conference shows that you are a true African…John Mahama, you are a reasonable African. You are the most respected president in Africa, but actions speak louder than words. So, we look forward to you to put your words into action; we expect your actions to follow,” the group urged.
