Church provides accommodation for hospital staff

Wenchi (B/A) Sept. 6, GNA- The Wenchi Methodist Hospital has provided accommodation for the hospital's administrator at a cost of 159 million cedis.

The Right Reverend Kwame Omane Acheamfour, Methodist Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, assisted by the Very Rev. Charles Kwasi Konadu, Superintendent Minister of Wenchi Circuit dedicated the building to the glory of God.

Rt. Rev. Omane-Acheamfour charged the hospital management to make provision in their annual budget for maintenance of the hospital's buildings.

Mr. B.C.K. Botwe, Principal Health Service Administrator said funding for the project was from Beltman Foundation in the Netherlands and Irish Methodist World Development and Relief Fund. He paid glowing tribute to the donors and appealed to local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to come to the aid of the hospital.

Nante provided with potable water

Nante (B/A), Sept. 6, GNA- A 427 million cedis water project has been completed at Nante in the Kintampo District.

The project was funded under the Village Infrastructure Project while the community provided 25 million cedis as counterpart funding, representing five percent of the cost.

Nana Kwaku Yeboah, Krontihene of Nante told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Friday.

Nana Yeboah said 10 standing pipes have been provided in the community, which contributed 25,000 cedis a man and 20,000 cedis a woman for residents, whilst non-residents paid a flat rate of 50,000 cedis towards the project.
