Two Osenase Schools Rehabilitated

Osenase (Eastern Region), 29 Oct. Two schools at Osenase which were hit by recent rainstorms have been given cement and roofing sheets by the West Akyem district assembly to undertake rehabilitation works. The local authority junior secondary which had one of its classrooms destroyed received 20 bags of cement while the Roman Catholic primary school which had part of its roof ripped off had one bundle of roofing sheets. Mr Charles Aryah Addy, chairman of the assembly's works committee, presented the materials worth 590,000 cedis to Mr Ernest Sintim, chairman of the Osenase schools management committee. Mr Addy said the assembly would rebuild the destroyed classroom estimated to cost about five million cedis. Mr Sintim thanked the assembly for its prompt response to the request for assistance.
