NPP to lose headquarters over $2m debt - Baah Acheamfour

As the New Patriotic Party’s internal wrangling rages on unabated, more startling revelations continue to pop up.

It has now emerged that the General Secretary for the party, Mr. Kwabena Agyepong has made more enemies because he called into question a $2million loan deal contracted by some members of the party from Prudential Bank Limited.

This revelation was made on Peace FM by Mr. Baah Acheamfour, spokesperson for Save NPP Now, a group that strongly believes the party's flagbearer has failed to unite the various factions within the opposition party. He noted that should the party fail to make payment at the end of May, 2015, they would be forced out of their headquarters.

According to him, as part of the loan deal, the party’s headquarters was used as collateral should they fail to repay the debt.

“At the end of this month if we are unable to pay back the $2million loan we took from Prudential Bank, they would take over our headquarters. It is on record that Mr. Ken Ofori Atta signed that loan but we don’t know what he used the money for. Kwabena Agyepong has vowed not to make such deals happen under his watch and because of this he seems to have made more enemies within the NPP,” Baah Acheamfour claimed.
