Former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports is blaming recent tragic deaths in the Brong Ahafo Region and other parts of the country on curses invoked by the Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC.
According to Joseph Yammin, recent strange deaths and bloodbaths are as a result of certain actions and voodoo exercises undertaken by the NPP ahead of the December presidential and parliamentary elections.
Yammin was speaking to host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkrah in reaction to the death of some school children on excursion at the Kintampo waterfalls.
In the days leading to last year’s general elections, the Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser slaughtered a white ram, poured libation and chanted some incantations to curse Chairperson of the Electoral Commission and her officers.
Kwame Baffoe charged the gods to kill and deal ruthlessly with anyone that tried to rig the 2016 elections and to wipe off their generations.
The region has since after the elections recorded two different bloody incidents involving students with a space of one week.
Last week Sunday, four final-year students of Community Health Training School at Tanoso in the Tano North District of the Brong-Ahafo Region met their untimely death at dawn when the vehicle they were travelling in reportedly crashed into a tree.
Exactly a week after the four students’ deaths, seventeen people were feared dead after a huge tree fell on revelers at the Kintampo Water fall in the Brong Ahafo Region Sunday March 19, 2017.
But Joseph Yammin believes the bloody incidents should be blamed at doorstep of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
According to him, “we should blame the NPP for these tragic incidents because they were involved in a lot of occult practices before the elections.”
“Kwame, do you remember how Abronye DC and the NPP slaughtered sheep and invoked curses on everybody before the elections…he asked the gods to kill everybody who will try to rig the elections,” he charged.
Yammin adds, “now the NPP ended up rigging the elections and won by such a huge margin and you think the gods they believed in and offered sacrifices will be silent,” he asked.
“So Kwame, these tragic incidents should be blamed on the NPP and no one else,” he added.
The former minister has meanwhile accused President Akufo Addo of being insensitive to the pains of the berieved families of the weekend’s accident.
“Akufo Addo is a very insensitive leader…how can he abandon such a national disaster and join CEOs to hold meetings in Switzerland,” he said.
“The president must cut short his trip to the Switzerland and return home as a matter of urgency,” he added.
President Akufo Addo is currently in Switzerland attending a meeting of African Chief Executives Officers.
