General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, says the internal wrangling in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) may spell doom for the party, come 2016.
According to him, the NPP is endangering its chances to clinch victory in the general elections in two years time. This, he noted, would be due to the culture of backbiting and the habit of party members hurling invectives at one another.
"If not checked by the party leaders, the NPP will lose its credibility in the eyes of the Ghanaian citizenry," he said.
Speaking on Radio Gold's "Alhaji and Alhaji", he stated that; “the NPP in opposition is accusing each other of those who cannot manage the internal resources of the party and that monies, resources, motor bikes and others have been misused; misapplied, individualized. They are giving us a tool that in the major election, these are not the people to be entrusted with the destiny of a nation when they cannot be entrusted with the destiny of a political party.”
