President John Dramani Mahama is sure that his good works all over the country will reflect positively in the upcoming elections to the favour of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He was speaking in the Ashanti Region over the weekend as part of his campaign tour to canvass votes for his party.

He stated that election results over the years have indicated that Ashanti region is the strong hold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but posited that it will change in the 2016 general elections.

“Because this elections is about hard work and achievements of the various parties involved”, he noted.

To this end, President Mahama believes the hard work and achievements done by the NDC government in the Ashanti region will translate into votes to diffuse that of the NPP.

Aside being convinced that the NDC will garner its 1 million votes in the region, the President said a recent poll in projects the NDC to gaining 9 more seats in parliament in addition to the 4 it already has.

President Mahama estimated that NDC will get 57 percent in the general elections for a clear win in order to prevent the NPP from challenging the results in court.
