The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, has predicted that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) would win the ongoing parliamentary by-election in the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern Region.
In a post he shared on social media on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Mussa Dankwah asserted that Bernard Baidoo, the candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), would win the election with at least 53% of votes in the election.
He also asserted that Solomon Asumadu, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, has no chance of winning the ongoing by-election.

He indicated that the best performance of Asumadu would be getting 47% of the total votes cast.
The by-election was occasioned by the death of the sitting New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the area, Ernest Yaw Kumi, who died after a short illness on July 7, 2025.
Three men — Bernard Baidoo, Solomon Asumadu, and a third candidate, Owusu Patrick — are contesting in the by-election.
The total number of registered voters for the Akwatia Constituency is 52,328, per the Electoral Commission of Ghana register used for the 2024 election.
