Joetex's Enyimba enter history books

Joetex Frimpong's Nigerian club, Enyimba International has entered the history books of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, by becoming the first side in 36 years to retain the Champions League.

The Nigerian side had won the cup after beating Egypt's Ismaily last year and repeated the feat, this afternoon at the National Stadium, Abuja, after a hard-earned victory via penalties against Tunisia's Etoile Sportive du Sahel.

Joetex, who has been ignored by managers of the Ghanaian National team, the Black Stars was part of the history making squad. He was introduced in the 60th minute and put his name on the scoresheet during the penalty kicks.

Speaking with www.ghanaweb.com, the Ghanaian said: "I am happy to have been a part of the history making squad. This is the best thing to have happened to me in 2004."
