Moves To Strengthen Female Education

A special initiative to strengthen the efforts of NGOs in promoting female education in Sub-Sahara Africa has been launched in Accra. It is called, "Alliance for Community Action on Female Education or "The Alliance", for short. The Programme will assist NGOs whose activities relate directly to basic education by providing them with small grants, technical and managerial support. The programme seeks to complement government efforts at promoting female education in the country.
