Ghana Airways acts on high passenger traffic

Ghana Airways has instituted immediate measures to cater for the high passenger traffic being experienced especially on the North American route.

A statement released by the Public Relations Department said the demand for seats on Ghana Airways is a sign of growing confidence that the traveling public has in the airline. It said the company has organized extra flight to get most of the passengers to their destinations adding that one left during the weekend and another leased aircraft left Accra last night alongside the airline's scheduled service.

The statement said that there were no backlogs of passengers on the US route as at today. It said due to the "buoyancy and improvement" of the Ghanaian economy, air travel to and from the country has been on the increase and that the peak season has led to congestion at the airport on certain days.
