Some of the amazing moments at the 4-day funeral service of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, held from September 15 to September 18, 2025, involved priests of the Asante Kingdom, traditionally known as Okomfo.
The assertion of the traditional religion of Ghana dying or losing its relevance seems to have been quelled among a faction of the public due to the activities the priests engaged in at the funeral.

One of the eye-catching moments at the funeral was when the priests of the Asante Kingdom (Asanteman) lined up to pay homage and pray for their ruler, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
One youthful priest, who has now been identified as Okomfo Kwaku Abrantie, turned the eyes of many when he prayed for the Asantehene because of his age.
It turns out that renowned Ghanaian prophet, Apostle Francis Amoako Attah, Founder of Parliament Chapel International, had prophesied about this young priest before his public display at the Asantehemaa’s funeral.
Apostle Amoako Attah prophesied that Okomfo Kwaku Abrantie would be the next Okomfo Anokye, the greatest priest of Asanteman, regarded as the co-founder of the kingdom.
He warned pastors in the Ashanti Region to be wary of the young priest because he is going to make their churches empty with the miracles he is going to perform.
“There is going to be a kingdom of dwarves, and it is going to start in Kumasi. A child born in Kumasi would have 70 dwarves at the age of 12. A second Okomfo Anokye is preparing to appear.
“He is going to face off with pastors. And if pastors in Kumasi do not fortify themselves, he is going to conquer them. By the age of 12, he is going to have about 70 dwarves. During difficult times, he would be giving people lotto numbers, and people would not want to go to church anymore."
He added, "Trust me, God has given this boy the abilities of Okomfo Anokye and he is going to display them. Which pastor can do these things? He would pass through fire. He would be climbing trees with only his feet, like a ninja.’”
In an interview after his display at the funeral, Okomfo Kwaku Abrantie’s father confirmed that he was 7 years old.
He said that Okomfo Kwaku Abrantie was the only priest among his four children and that his son started showing the abilities he has now from the age of 3.
The young priest himself refuted assertions that he had left school, saying that he was a class two pupil.

He expressed his joy in being a priest and in the works he has been doing.
He went on to list 9 dwarves he currently serves, including “Kwaku Abrantie, Nsuo Kuma, Oheneba, Ntia Frama.”
