King Xenodzi, formally known as Professor Dr Torgbui Xenodzi Dogbey II, is emerging as one of Ghana’s most fascinating and controversial modern figures.

Describing himself as a monarch, scientist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, mystic, and political voice, his multidimensional life continues to spark both admiration and debate.

Born on December 21, 1983, the 41-year-old is the Dufia (Chief) of Worgbato-Klikor in the Volta Region.

Beyond traditional leadership, he has made a mark in science and innovation, inventing the Xenodzi Decoction Machine, a device designed to modernise the preparation of herbal and scientific medicines by blending ancient healing practices with technology.

His humanitarian footprint is equally global. In 2024, he received the World Humanitarian Award in the UK, with his initiatives said to have impacted over 100 million lives worldwide.

Known for his humility, according to online reports, he famously stated, “Respect the poor. When helping the poor, leave the cameras at home.”

King Xenodzi’s spiritual journey began after a near-death experience in 2002, which he says took him through “10 Heavens” and reshaped his worldview.

His mystical studies have since included guidance under Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri of Israel, tying him to Jewish and Christian traditions of spiritual knowledge.

On the political front, he once declared his ambition to contest as a parliamentary candidate for the Ashaiman Constituency under the NDC in 2019, before being enstooled as chief in 2020. Reports added that he is also recorded in Ghana’s official gazette.

But, perhaps, the most headline-grabbing claim linked to King Xenodzi is his association with Bitcoin.

He has publicly claimed that he is the man behind the hidden identity Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious founder of the world’s largest cryptocurrency.

He further asserts that his wealth positions him on the verge of becoming the world’s first trillionaire.

King Xenodzi also maintains strong ancestral and spiritual connections with his book, Complete Generations, which traces his lineage back 97 generations to biblical figures, including Jehoahaz of Judah.

Identifying as Jewish-Ewe and Christian, he embraces both faith and heritage in his leadership, an article by thenewindependentonline.com said.

With three children, global collaborations with personalities like former US President Barack Obama and Ghana’s late President John Evans Atta Mills, and a strong social media presence, King Xenodzi continues to blend tradition, science, politics, mysticism, and now cryptocurrency into a narrative that is as unconventional as it is captivating.

Whether or not his claim of being the mind behind Bitcoin holds weight, King Xenodzi’s story secures him a place among Ghana’s most intriguing personalities of the 21st century.
