Pastor urges Christian singing groups to compose inspiring songs

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Jan. 19 GNA - The Reverend Felix John Yeboah, Dormaa District Pastor of Assemblies of God Church has urged Christian singing groups to compose their own songs to project God and Christianity and to avoid copying the works of others. Making the call at a chorus night organized by the Church at Dormaa-Ahenkro, the pastor underscored the importance of music and urged Churches to compose songs that would change the youth.

Rev. Yeboah stressed the need for Christians to compose songs that would also unify the people and to encourage local talents and initiatives. Singing groups that took part in the programme included Voice of Faith of Assemblies of God Church, Kingdom Singers of Kingsway Assemblies of God Church and a Presbyterian Church singing group.
