Director of Communications for the Ghana Gas Company, Ernest Owusu Bempah says former President John Dramani Mahama will face the wrath of God in his attempt to run as President in the next elections.

According to him, the former NDC leader during his tenure led Ghana into ‘adversity’ – hence, his coming back will not only ‘anger’ Ghanaians but God.

“Ghanaians have had enough of this man [John Mahama]. He had the opportunity to be President and he messed us up. Under no circumstance will Ghanaians give Mahama the second chance to destroy this nation,” he said on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.

Ernest Owusu Bempah's comment comes after former President John Dramani Mahama gave the much-expected indication that he’s going to contest the Presidency in the 2020 general polls.

JM has affectionately called said he has reflected on the numerous calls by the party's teeming supporters and sympathizers to declare his intention to contest in 2020; adding "I have listened to your calls".

Mahama who has been silent on his intention to contest wrote on his Facebook page: “I want to congratulate the rank & file and executives of our party, the NDC, at all levels for the commitment and work we have put into our reorganization efforts”.

“The zeal and determination of the average sympathizer of our great party is greater and miles ahead of what it was after the December 2016 Elections. We need to keep up with the momentum generated and follow the published timelines.

“To you the teeming supporters and sympathizers calling and requesting me to declare my intentions for the future, I wish to assure you today, that as a servant-leader, I have listened to your calls and reflected. I will not disappoint you even as we await the publication of the party’s guidelines for selecting a new leader,” Mahama said in his post on Facebook.

But Ernest Owusu Bempah warned the former President to ‘retire’ the presidency in ‘peace’ or “he will face the wrath of the God, the people and the gods”.
