Science teachers end workshop

Ajumako (Central Region), 20 Nov, 1998 - A week-long workshop on the introduction of a new syllabus for the teaching of Science and Agricultural Science in teacher training colleges has ended at the Ghana Education Service's staff development Institute at Ajumako. About 120 tutors from 38 teacher training colleges attended the workshop aimed at reviewing the existing syllabus. Dr K. Awuku, a consultant of the Ministry of Education, who assisted in planning the new syllabus, said the success or failure of the programme will depend to a large extent on teachers. Dr Awuku appealed to them to master the syllabus and come out with suggestions to make the learning of the subject more attractive to students.
