Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam police commander commends District Assembly

Ajumako (C/R) Jan. 15 GNA - The Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Police Commander, Mr. Paul Ayitey has commended the District Assembly for the provision of logistics and other support that had help to improve their performance.

Making the commendation through the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Ajumako on Friday, the Police commander said that the introduction of snap road blocks had also help check criminal activities in the area.

He said that transportation of illegal lumber, and activities of chainsaw operators, overloading and other traffic offences had also been checked.

Mr. Ayitey said that crime wave in the district had been reduced drastically and was grateful to the government and the police administration for providing them with means of transport but called for more personnel to be posted to the area. Meanwhile, the Tofohen of Ajumako Bisease, Nana Essuon Wieldu IV, has commended the Ghana Police Service in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District for their vigilance in ensuring absolute peace and stability before, during and after the December 7 polls.
