Greater Accra Hockey Association Gala

The Greater Accra Hockey Season is taking off in grand style on saturday 26th April 2003 with the Atlantic Ports Services(APS) sponsored Gala at the National Hockey Pitch situated right in the city of the capital of Ghana, Accra. It is however worth commending APS for their contineous sponsorship and support of the Annual Gala which preceeds the GAHA season every year.

The entire executive body of GAHA and all the clubs registered with GAHA say a big thank you to APS and we give them "AHEKOO" and hope they would continue their enviable sponsorship until "JESUS COME" AMEN.

This years hockey season is believed to be one of the most competitive and keenly contested ones considering the Tension that has already started looming around the pitch .This has come as a result of the movement of very good and talented players from their previous teams and signing for other clubs who are offering them very good and attractive packages. The movement has brought most of the teams now on level strengths and a balanced player distribution. One is left with no option than hope to see the league started with all the tensions, anxious moments, excitements, thrillings and above all see if the champion club Exchequers of Bank of Ghana could really prove their supriority by winning the prestigeous league trophy again for a record time. Coaches have a real task on their hands this season.

Fans will not only have playing action to watch and enjoy but the "dancing and antics of very hot coaches " and i entreat all to follow and watch all the matches in the season.
