CONTRACTORS MEET

The National Chairman of the Association of Building and Civil Contractors of Ghana, Mr.. N.P.T. Kupualor, has asked contractors to take keen interest in the Association's affairs in the regions to enable it to effectively champion their cause, He said the Association will soon embark on Regional Development Projects as part of UNDP/Ghana Government Training Programme designed to generate jobs for its members. Mr.. Kupualor was speaking during the election and swearing-in ceremony of an Interim Executive Committee of the Northern Regional branch of the Association in Tamale. He said the National Executive needs effective regional branches to be able to develop the Association into a strong body that will protect the interest of its members. Mr.. Kupualor charged the Regional Executive to monitor contractors and the award of contracts in the region. The Interim Regional Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Mussah Mumuni, regretted that even though there are over three thousand contractors in the region, only 30 of them are registered with the Association. He, therefore, appealed to all contractors in the region to register with the Association. End
