Ejura/Sekyedumasi Roads To Get Facelift

Ejura (Ash), Aug 13, - The Ghana Highway Authority is to award a number of roads in the Ejura/Sekyedumasi district on contract for routine maintenance at a cost of 31.2 million cedis. They include the 21.8-kilometre Ejura-Nhyiamu, 9.8-kilometre Sekyedumasi-Anyinasu and the seven-kilometre Sekyedumasi-Chiradaso roads. This was announced by Mr C. F. Broni, Ejura-Sekyedumasi District Chief Executive, at a news briefing at Ejura to throw light on the programme to improve the road network in the district. He said the government is to award the 25-kilometre Dome-Ejura and the 9.5 kilometre Ejura-Kyekyekura roads on contract for reshaping and rehabilitation at a cost of 4.5 million cedis. The district assembly has already given approval for the contracts. Mr Broni described the rehabilitation of the roads as timely since they link food producing communities and will facilitate the carting of such produce to marketing centres.
