PTA Chairman urges students to take mock exams seriously

Osino, (E/R), March 30, GNA - The PTA chairman of the Osino Presby Secondary/Technical school at Akim Osino Mr Emmanuel Antwi has advised students to attach great importance to mock examinations since they offered the opportunity to identify their weakness for correction before final examinations.

Mr Antwi, who was interacting with students and teachers of the school on Wednesday during a visit to examination centres to acquaint himself on the on-going mock examination for JSS final year students in the Fanteakwa district.

The MP for Fanteakwa, Mr Kwadwo Agyei-Addo, was sponsoring the examinations being conducted by the Fanteakwa District Directorate of Education.

Mr Antwi advised the students to take their lessons seriously to enable them climb the educational ladder higher to become future leaders and asked them to stay away from negative tendencies that tended to mitigate against their academic progress.

Mr. Antwi called for closer co-operation among teachers, students and parents for the eradication of indiscipline in schools. Meanwhile, Mr Agyei-Addo in an interview, said his gesture was to help halt the lowering educational standard in the district and expressed the hope that the exercise would create awarenes among the students the need to prepare adequately for the impending examination.

The Examination Co-ordinator, Mr. Kwadwo Acheampong-Sakyi, Headmaster of the Osino Preby Secondary/Technical School conducted Mr Antwi round the examination centre.
