Mine Stars, Hearts appeal on hold

The appeal case filed by Prestea Mines Stars against a decision of the Disciplinary Committee punishing them for using an unqualified player against Hearts could not be heard yesterday as scheduled.

The case was not attended to as a result of the shocking resignation of the permanent members of the Appeals Committee who were scheduled to sit on the matter. No new date has yet been given but it appears it may take longer than expected.

Mines Stars want their deducted points restored to save them from being relegated from the premier league altogether.
